These are pictures of some of our loved ones who have passed on, or who have been missing for several months. 

We have had many bottle babies who were too weak by the time we got them, and they did not make it. One litter had fleas so bad when we got them, that they actually died from anemia despite our best efforts to save them. We have also taken in some rescue animals who were already sick, and despite all we did, they succumbed to their illness.

It is very hard to loose one of our rescues. All the animals on this page may seem like a large number of animals to loose. But, when you consider the number of animals that have passed through our rescue, it is a very, very small percentage. But, no matter what, each death or loss is very difficult on each of us. Some wonder why we put ourselves through such sorrow. But, we only have to look to the number of animals that we have taken in, or pulled from death row at the pound, to realize the bigger picture of what we do here. Sure there are great days of sorrow. But, there are even greater days of joy when one precious life is saved from death row. When a bottle baby reaches the point of eating on their own. Then, again when one special animal moves on to another rescue, or is placed in their purr-fect furr-ever home! =^..^=
